And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 27 wins and 55 losses; David McDonald! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Ignatowski scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Ignatowski (2) vs (0) McDonald We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. McDonald is looking to improve his position.

Ignatowski can't control as he wanted to and McDonald manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Ignatowski wants to take a breather but McDonald is having none of it. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McDonald defends it well. Ignatowski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McDonald does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ignatowski not doing much here.

McDonald is fighting to maintain full guard but Ignatowski has managed to sneak the leg through. Ignatowski controlling the action here. McDonald is looking for a sweep. Ignatowski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ignatowski wants to advance to full mount but McDonald doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Ignatowski trying to control the position from guard on top but McDonald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

McDonald swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ignatowski trying to control the position from guard on top but McDonald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ignatowski looking to sit in guard and control but McDonald gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Ignatowski controlling from the full mount. McDonald tries to control Ignatowski's head but Ignatowski pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes!
