The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sloppy strikes from Thompson. Those never looked like landing.
Thompson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Thompson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Thompson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Jones moves out of range as Thompson strikes.
Thompson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 3Band MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thompson moves away.
Thompson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Thompson.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thompson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thompson just misses with a punch to the body.
Thompson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thompson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Thompson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.
