Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Hopkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Albertson!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins throws a right hand that Albertson ducks under and follows up with a left that Albertson also avoids with ease.
Albertson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hopkins slips a jab and a cross from Albertson.
Albertson shoots in looking for a takedown. Hopkins tries to sprawl out of it but Albertson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hopkins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hopkins scores with a hook to the body. Albertson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hopkins lands a left and a right that send Albertson crashing to the mat, dazed. Hopkins thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Albertson is rocked!
It looks like John Albertson has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hopkins connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Albertson to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Hopkins!
