The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maynard throws a sloppy head kick and Ortiz moves out of range easily.
Ortiz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Maynard misses with a double jab.
Maynard swings for the body but Ortiz moves out of range.
Maynard tries to land a front kick but Ortiz steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A slapping leg kick lands for Maynard.
Maynard on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Maynard throws a head kick that misses.
Ortiz blocks a head kick by Maynard.
Ortiz lands an overhand right.
Maynard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ortiz looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ortiz ducks under a wild hook from Maynard.
Maynard with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ortiz to score with a decent uppercut.
Good standup being displayed there by Ortiz as he connects with a hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maynard throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ortiz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Maynard scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Maynard misses with a left hand
and Ortiz counters with a left right combination that sends Maynard crashing to the mat - Ortiz wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Maynard out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
