Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alvro Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Danny Vargas!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Machado.
Vargas loads up on a big right hand but Machado slips the punch.
Machado misses with the combination.
Machado uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vargas.
Vargas lands a head shot.
Machado rushes Vargas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Vargas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Machado blocks a jab.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Vargas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Machado wants to clinch.
Vargas looks to land a right hand but Machado moved out of range.
Machado misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A jab lands there for Vargas.
Vargas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Vargas throws a hook but Machado avoids it easily.
Vargas misses with a looping right.
Machado shoots in and drives through. Vargas sprawls well.
Vargas scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Vargas waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Machado.
Vargas might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Machado shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vargas pinned against the cage. Vargas gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alvro Machado. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Machado tries a head kick but it misses.
Vargas cracks Machado with a right hand to the side of the head.
Vargas looks to throw the jab but Machado is out of range.
Vargas dips to his left and cracks Machado with an uppercut!
Machado is rocked!
Vargas fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Machado out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Danny Vargas!
