Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 23201 p4p, 5855 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 108 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 101 - 26 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter A scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fighter B is positioning himself well to prevent Fighter A advancing to mount. Fighter B wants to get back to full guard. Fighter A missing with the ground and pound from half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fighter B keeps control of the position for the meantime. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fighter B misses with some strikes from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B controlling the position for now. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Fighter A closes the distance and clinches up with Fighter B, looking for a takedown. Fighter A pushes Fighter B against the cage but Fighter B circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fighter A backing away here, and Fighter B unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Fighter B lands a nice looking kick to the body. Fighter A takes a step back to recover. Fighter A shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fighter B sprawls well. Fighter B wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fighter A gets slowly back to his feet. Fighter A moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromFighter B.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fighter A shoots in looking for a takedown but Fighter B manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fighter A's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fighter B thinks about the counter body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fighter B tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fighter A sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fighter B somewhat. Fighter A throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fighter B avoids it. Fighter A tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fighter B paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A tries for a takedown but Fighter B sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Fighter A will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fighter B steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Fighter A shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fighter B as he jumps to the side. Fighter B replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Fighter A blocks it well. Fighter A darts in looking for a takedown but Fighter B gets double underhooks and turns Fighter A into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fighter B is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Fighter A has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fighter B clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Fighter B looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Fighter B is really stuck here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Fighter B tried to score with a low kick but Fighter A checks it. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Fighter A doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fighter B counters with a series of strikes. Fighter A will be more careful next time no doubt. Fighter B shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B blocks the strikes from Fighter A.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A trying to control here.
Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fighter A is controlling Fighter B's position as best he can from this difficult position. Fighter B takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fighter A trying to control but Fighter B postures up.
Fighter A is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Fighter B is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fighter A's half guard. Fighter A is controlling Fighter B's trapped leg to prevent Fighter B from advancing to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Fighter B is controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fighter B looks to land a strike but Fighter A avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Fighter B's corner is telling him to maintain position. Fighter A not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B looking to score a takedown here. Fighter A is defending well but Fighter B drives through and ends up in Fighter A's guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Nice takedown defense from Fighter B. No joy for Fighter A on that attempt. Fighter B scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fighter B controlling the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fighter A wants to control but Fighter B is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fighter B is controlling the pace.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fighter A is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fighter B sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Fighter A shoots in for a takedown but Fighter B shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fighter A shoots for a takedown but Fighter B saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fighter B steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Fighter B closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fighter A quickly recovers to half guard. Fighter A trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A is holding on to half guard well. Fighter B slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Xxx Xxx comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Fighter B has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
