Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Kai Rossiter (ranked 4239 p4p, 1223 weight class) and Jacob Hopson (ranked 432 p4p, 51 weight class). Hopson has chosen Down Under as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacob Hopson!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rossiter with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rossiter throws a head kick that misses.
Hopson connects with a leg kick.
Rossiter throws a wild body kick that Hopson sees coming a mile off.

Hopson darts in and clinches Rossiter up against the ropes.
Hopson blocks an elbow strike from Rossiter.
Rossiter misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Hopson breaks the clinch.
Rossiter lands a nice shot to the body.
Rossiter misses with a kick to the body.

Hopson moves into the clinch.
Hopson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Hopson lands a head kick that bluckles Rossiter and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Hopson no doubt looking to push for a finish!

A quick step to the side and Rossiter tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rossiter bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hopson's head backwards.
Rossiter has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rossiter there as he acknowledges the shot.
Rossiter throws a leg kick but Hopson checks it.

Well Hopson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
