Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Reed Sherman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Sherman misses the target.
Sherman misses with a hook
and Kongo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sherman listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Kongo shoots for a takedown but Sherman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sherman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kongo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sherman drives through with a takedown into Kongo's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sherman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kongo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Sherman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kongo defends it easily.
Sherman is adopting a defensive guard.
Kongo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sherman on the ground.
Sherman tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sherman lands a decent punch to the body there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kongo throws a sloppy strike and Sherman has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Kongo is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Sherman!
