The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith shoots in and bounces Crackson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Crackson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Smith controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Crackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith wants to control from the top but Crackson keeps moving.
Crackson wants to get back to his feet but Smith is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Crackson striking off his back but it's not causing Smith any problems.

Crackson tries to strike from the bottom.

Smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Crackson lands an upkick as Smith stands over him.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Crackson wants to stand up but Smith is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Smith trying to control but Crackson is working from the bottom.

Smith drops back looking for a leg! Crackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Crackson manages to kick Smith off! Smith jumps back into Crackson's guard.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Crackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Crackson is striking but Smith is not phased and passes to half guard.
Smith is keen to just control but Crackson is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Crackson throws a hook but Smith blocks it.
Crackson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A big right from Crackson misses.
Crackson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Smith.

Smith drives through with a takedown into guard.
Smith passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Smith is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Crackson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smith gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Crackson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smith lets go of the hold and Crackson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
