The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houston shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Houston showed some decent athleticism there.
Watson won't allow Houston to pass to mount.
Watson is looking for a sweep. Houston is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Houston with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Houston is really struggling to control Watson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Watson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Houston swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Watson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Eric Houston overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Watson wants to finish this one by submission but Houston is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Watson.

Watson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Houston is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Watson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Watson moves in looking to clinch but Houston pushes him off.
No luck for Houston with that takedown attempt.

Watson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Watson throws a series of punches but Houston moves out of range.

and Watson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Houston fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Watson sizes up Houston with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Watson lands a jab-cross combination.
Houston jabs at Watson's body.
Watson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Watson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Watson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Houston rather than just go for the knockout.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Houston gets a takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Houston connects with a nice short shot to Watson's temple.
Houston is trying to control the action in half guard but Watson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Watson moves into full guard.
Watson pushes a forearm under Houston's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Houston is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
