The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jiurgite lands the left hand. Bergman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bergman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bergman goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jiurgite rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bergman's guard! Nice work there by Jiurgite! Bergman looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jiurgite puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Bergman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bergman is looking for a sweep. Jiurgite is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bergman looking for a sweep but Jiurgite has passed into full mount! Oh no! Jiurgite prevents Bergman from getting the reversal. Bergman tries to improve his position but Jiurgite has taken his back! Jiurgite has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Bergman tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Jiurgite pushes Bergman away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
