Williams's entrance music is Bad to the Bone. A fine choice. Kane Williams could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Monni Mantzurin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kane Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Monni Mantzurin!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mantzurin stuffs the takedown.

Mantzurin clinches up with Williams and pushes him back against the cage.
Williams is looking to take this one to the mat.

Mantzurin is trying to trip Williams. He has hold of a leg but Williams is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mantzurin persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Mantzurin wants to pass the guard but Williams is keeping the position.
Williams keeping moving, preventing Mantzurin from controlling successfully.
Mantzurin tries to stand but Williams is controlling from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mantzurin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Mantzurin is looking to stand up but Williams won't let him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mantzurin stays in close to Williams's body and controls the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Williams looking for a sweep. Not yet Williams, not yet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Mantzurin closes the distance and clinches.

Williams is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mantzurin can't fight it off and eventually Williams manages to take the fight to the floor. Mantzurin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Williams distracts Mantzurin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We've been hearing good reports from Williams's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Mantzurin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Williams is aware though and is defending well.
Williams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Mantzurin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mantzurin is looking to stand up but Williams isn't so interested in that idea.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams stands and throws Mantzurin's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mantzurin is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Mantzurin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Williams wants to control but Mantzurin is keeping him busy.

Williams working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Mantzurin struggling a bit here.
Williams working the head with strikes.
What's Mantzurin going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Mantzurin is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams working the ground and pound.

It looks like Monni Mantzurin has been cut.
Mantzurin struggling a bit here.
Williams scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Mantzurin to see if he's OK.
Mantzurin can't do much from the bottom here.
Williams lands a strong strike to the head of Mantzurin. That's dazed him! Williams looking to finish here. Mantzurin is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Williams lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kane Williams!
In his post fight interview, Kane Williams started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
In defeat, Monni Mantzurin stepped up to the mic, saying 'blaaaahhhh.....'.
