The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Belmiro's shoulder, as Belmiro tries to avoid the shot.

Belmiro looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jones looks to land a right hand but Belmiro moved out of range.
Belmiro connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Belmiro shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Belmiro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jones throws a front kick aimed at Belmiro's knee but Belmiro avoids it well.

Belmiro shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Belmiro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jones tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Belmiro is able to avoid easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Belmiro, as that shot connected.
Jones walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Belmiro checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Belmiro.

Belmiro shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

It seemed like Jones was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Jones has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Belmiro takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Belmiro shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely.

Belmiro tries to get into range but Jones steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Belmiro! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Jones scores the big KO victory!
