Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mikael White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Burg Gers!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. White defends it nicely.
White shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
White drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gers!
Gers throws an elbow but White slips to the side and avoids it well.
Gers working away.
Gers looking to punish the body of his opponent here but White is avoiding damage well.
White defending against the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White is trying to improve his position.
Gers postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
White on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if White tries to get out of the position.
Sloppy strikes there by Gers.
White on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Gers throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Gers throwing shots but missing, from side control.
White is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
White gets back to half guard.
Gers working over White with some ground and pound. White looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
White is looking to improve his position.
Gers working White over with strikes.
Gers looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks White with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Gers lands strikes from half guard.
Gers winds up and cracks White with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Gers lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
White actively working from the bottom here.
White moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
White looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gers is one step ahead there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gers chips away with some ground and pound.
Gers with a flurry of punches that miss.
Gers is looking to work some ground and pound but White has wrist control.
Gers keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of White's head.

Gers landing with the ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gers cracks White with a solid left hand.
Gers distracts White with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Gers scoring with some ground and pound.
White is rocked!
Gers keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of White's head.
Oh White is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gers is in close to White's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Gers gets to his feet and stands over White, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! White felt that one! Gers unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save White from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Burg Gers!
