Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Neil Nucombe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Richarlison!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richarlison bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nucombe's head.
Nucombe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Nucombe throws a jab when Richarlison was well out of range.
Richarlison looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Nucombe pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nucombe with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Richarlison to score with a decent uppercut.
Richarlison moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Richarlison cracks Nucombe with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Richarlison has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Nucombe to stand back up!
Nucombe is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A nice leg kick lands there from Richarlison.
Oh Nucombe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Richarlison drops Nucombe with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nucombe looks back up at him and smiles so Richarlison waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Richarlison swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A little feinted left hand from Nucombe on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nucombe missing with a left hand there. Richarlison was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Richarlison slips a straight right by Nucombe.
Richarlison lands with a thumping leg kick.
Richarlison fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Nucombe to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Nucombe looks to clinch but Richarlison throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Nucombe taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Chris Richarlison!
Chris Richarlison decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
