Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caleb DeCoteau (ranked 1027 p4p, 1216 weight class) and Gunnar Skog (ranked 135 p4p, 159 weight class). Skog has chosen Another One Bites the Dust - Queen as his entrance music. Caleb DeCoteau could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gunnar Skog's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Caleb DeCoteau! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gunnar Skog! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skog connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Decent striking displayed by Skog there. Skog misses with the combination.
DeCoteau feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Skog is looking to stand back up but DeCoteau counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Skog. DeCoteau stops Skog from getting back to his feet.
DeCoteau is working for a kimura but Skog is defending it quite comfortably.
Skog is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeCoteau is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Skog has managed to free his arm - good work. DeCoteau throwing shots but Skog is blocking nicely. DeCoteau trying to control the action but Skog is working from the bottom. DeCoteau is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. DeCoteau trying to control from half guard but Skog is working away. Skog won't allow DeCoteau to pass to mount. Skog pushes DeCoteau off looking to stand but DeCoteau dives back in and keeps control.
DeCoteau is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Skog defends it well. Skog felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. DeCoteau seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Skog is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Caleb DeCoteau! Caleb DeCoteau is the new light heavyweight champion! Caleb DeCoteau decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
