Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cain Velasquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michal Materla!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez misses with a two punch combination.
Materla is looking to clinch but Velasquez is avoiding it.
Velasquez clobbers Materla with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Velasquez seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Velasquez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Materla. Materla circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Materla is rocked!
Velasquez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Materla momentarily.
Materla is still on wobbly legs! Can Velasquez finish him?
A jab from Velasquez misses.
Materla seems to have recovered his senses.
Materla is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Velasquez darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Materla's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Velasquez before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
