Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luc Taker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mr Necro!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Necro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Taker tries to avoid it but Necro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Taker to the ground. Taker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Necro darts in and clinches Taker up against the cage.
Taker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No joy there for Necro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Taker gets tackled into the cage by Necro. Necro maintains the clinch.
Necro is trying to pull guard but Taker has him pressed against the cage.
Taker pulls Necro into guard.
Necro trying to control but Taker is working from the bottom.
Taker pulls Necro in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Necro wants to control from the top but Taker keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Necro being controlled here momentarily.
Necro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Necro avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Taker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Necro defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Taker keeping moving, preventing Necro from controlling successfully.
Necro wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Taker's closed guard. He's half up but Taker has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Taker pivots and extends the arm, Necro falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Taker! Well done that man!
