This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 14 losses; Filmore Everett! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 18 losses; Domingo The Flamingo! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. The Flamingo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Everett is fending him off so far but The Flamingo persists. Nope, Everett circles away and we're back to standing. Everett half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. The Flamingo misses with a takedown attempt and Everett counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Everett (2) vs (0) The Flamingo Everett wants to work for an arm triangle but The Flamingo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Everett jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but The Flamingo manages to avoid the submission attempt. Everett wants to lay and pray for a moment but The Flamingo keeps working. You can see the frustration on The Flamingo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Everett is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for The Flamingo. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Flamingo can do anything to dispel that myth.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Everett has control of The Flamingo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and The Flamingo regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Everett is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But The Flamingo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. The Flamingo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The Flamingo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. The Flamingo is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Everett keeping moving, preventing The Flamingo from controlling successfully. The Flamingo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Everett takes the fight on points by 17 to 6. Filmore Everett very nearly forgot to thank The Huntington New Age Wellness Community amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
