And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 14 losses; Mono Loco!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Shart gets caught napping as Loco dives in and scores a takedown. Shart manages to retain guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Shart (0) vs (2) Loco
Shart manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Loco manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Shart slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Shart wants to pass the guard but Loco is keeping the position.

Shart will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Shart passes Loco's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Loco is trying to maintain the position but Shart is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Loco is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Shart is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Loco is surviving well by controlling Shart's body position as best he can.
Loco wants to control but Shart is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Loco tries to improve his position but Shart has taken his back! Shart has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Loco tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Shart pushes Loco away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
