Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Johnstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Madmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnstone comes to the ring accompanied by Living is a Problem. Tony Madmen is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimmy Johnstone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Madmen! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Madmen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Johnstone keeping control of the position. Johnstone tries to kick Madmen off but Madmen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Johnstone makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johnstone. Madmen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Johnstone is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Madmen is aware though and is defending well. Madmen is pushing down on Johnstone's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnstone is fighting to maintain full guard but Madmen has managed to sneak the leg through. Madmen wants to take a breather but Johnstone is having none of it. Johnstone looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Madmen wants to control but Johnstone is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Still in half guard, Madmen seems content to control. Johnstone is refusing to be controlled, as Madmen sits in half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Johnstone trying to control here.
Johnstone won't allow Madmen to pass to mount. Johnstone is trying to control but can't.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Madmen checks a leg kick. Madmen has a takedown stuffed. Madmen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Johnstone throws a big shot that misses. Madmen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnstone defends it nicely. Jimmy Johnstone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Madmen. Johnstone closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Madmen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Johnstone avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Madmen tries for a takedown but Johnstone manages to get underhooks.
Madmen looks gassed! Johnstone has had enough of the clinch but Madmen keeps him there for the moment. Madmen jumps guard but Johnstone stands there with Madmen around his waist. Madmen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Johnstone shoots for a takedown but Madmen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Madmen misses with a takedown and Johnstone counters with a two punch combo. Madmen drops his hands momentarily and Johnstone takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Johnstone defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Madmen. Johnstone throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Madmen was covering up waiting for the punch and Johnstone finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Madmen is working an open guard so Johnstone takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Johnstone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Johnstone stuffs the takedown. Johnstone is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Madmen's half guard. Johnstone is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Madmen is trying to get back to full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Johnstone stands up and beckons Madmen to join him on the feet. Johnstone fails to land with a series of punches.
Madmen fails with the takedown and Johnstone counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Johnstone. Madmen is trying to control the position but Johnstone postures up. Madmen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnstone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Madmen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnstone as he avoids it easily. Madmen tries to clinch but Johnstone moves out of range. Johnstone connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Johnstone getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Johnstone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Madmen napping and manages to drive through into side control! Johnstone has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Johnstone throws a jab but it's blocked by Madmen. Johnstone lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Johnstone wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Madmen closes the distance and clinches up with Johnstone, looking for a takedown. Madmen pushes Johnstone against the ropes but Johnstone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Madmen misses with a body kick. Madmen is breathing heavily. Madmen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnstone's waist but Johnstone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Madmen off to one side. Jimmy Johnstone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Madmen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnstone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Johnstone stands up and waves to Madmen to follow him. Jimmy Johnstone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. No joy there for Johnstone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnstone stands up from half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Madmen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Johnstone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Madmen counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Johnstone is lucky that one didn't land flush. Johnstone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Madmen kicks off Johnstone and gets to his feet. Madmen drops his hands momentarily and Johnstone takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Madmen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Johnstone lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Madmen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Johnstone counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Madmen! Madmen is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnstone is standing up, even though he is in mount. Johnstone swinging wilding here.
Johnstone on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Madmen fails with a takedown attempt. Johnstone moves into the clinch. Madmen is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Johnstone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Madmen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A bone on bone clash there as Madmen blocks the leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Madmen gets caught flat footed, as Johnstone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Madmen looking for a sweep. Not yet Madmen, not yet. Madmen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Johnstone won't allow Madmen to sweep him here. Johnstone is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Madmen can do to turn this around? Madmen is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Johnstone dives into side control.
Johnstone decides to stand back up. Johnstone steps back and let's Madmen get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A combination from Johnstone does no damage. Madmen avoids a punch combination nicely.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Johnstone throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Johnstone keeping moving, preventing Madmen from controlling successfully. Madmen might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Johnstone kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Johnstone throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Johnstone keeping moving, preventing Madmen from controlling successfully. Madmen looking to sit in guard and control but Johnstone gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Johnstone stands and steps away. Madmen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Johnstone throws a leg kick and Madmen counters with a big head kick but Johnstone shrugs it off. Johnstone rushes Madmen and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Johnstone manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnstone tries to clinch but Madmen is having none of it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Madmen. Jimmy Johnstone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Madmen. A left and a right from Johnstone both land. Nice combination. Johnstone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Madmen circles away quickly and effectively. Johnstone lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Johnstone dives in and grabs Madmen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Madmen pushes down on Johnstone's head and hops out. Madmen with a poor takedown and Johnstone counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Madmen strikes from the bottom but Johnstone uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Madmen wants to control but Johnstone postures up. Johnstone decides to stand back up. Johnstone steps back and let's Madmen get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnstone connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Madmen's hands. Johnstone drives through and clinches with Madmen against the ropes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Madmen tries to stall but Johnstone uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Johnstone wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Jimmy Johnstone is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Johnstone manages to break the clinch.
Madmen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnstone avoids it really well and circles away. Johnstone tries to work over Madmen's front leg with a kick but Madmen checks it. Madmen fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnstone misses with a two punch combination.
