Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurt Sloane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Haaro Kertanen!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloane dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kertanen. That did some damage!
Kertanen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kertanen shoots for a takedown but Sloane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sloane looks to land a combination but Kertanen avoids it well.
Kertanen lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Sloane jabs Kertanen right on the nose. Kertanen blinks but takes it well.
No luck for Kertanen with that takedown attempt.
Kertanen ducks right into an uppercut from Sloane.
Sloane scores with a one two! Kertanen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Kurt Sloane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kertanen was well out of range. Poor timing from Sloane.
Sloane's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kertanen under the eye.
Kertanen is rocked!
Kertanen is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Sloane moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kurt Sloane!
