Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Ellis (ranked 25262 p4p, 23244 weight class) and Mariusz Pudzianowski (ranked 593 p4p, 587 weight class). Mariusz Pudzianowski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Quinton Ellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 71 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mariusz Pudzianowski! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pudzianowski is looking to score with low kicks. Ellis checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ellis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pudzianowski avoids it really well and circles away. Ellis tries for a takedown but Pudzianowski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Pudzianowski throws a leg kick but Ellis sees it coming and checks it nicely. Pudzianowski throws a chopping leg kick but Ellis manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Ellis closes the distance and clinches up with Pudzianowski, looking for a takedown. Ellis pushes Pudzianowski against the cage but Pudzianowski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Ellis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pudzianowski misses with a low kick. Pudzianowski fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ellis checks it well. A good leg kick by Pudzianowski. Ellis shoots for a double leg takedown but Pudzianowski sprawls well. He's pushed Ellis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A bone on bone clash there as Ellis blocks the leg kick.
Ellis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pudzianowski tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ellis is in Pudzianowski's guard. Ellis cracks Pudzianowski with a solid left hand. Ellis is looking to work some ground and pound but Pudzianowski has wrist control. Ellis looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ellis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ellis stops Pudzianowski from standing up. Pudzianowski looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pudzianowski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Ellis working some strikes from top position. Pudzianowski has momentary wrist control but Ellis slips an elbow through the middle. Ellis distracts Pudzianowski with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Ellis working some strikes from top position. Ellis looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Ellis stopping the sweep attempt from Pudzianowski. Ellis is working Pudzianowski over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Ellis pushing down on Pudzianowski's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Pudzianowski looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pudzianowski is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ellis scores with a couple of nice shots. Ellis controlling the pace. Ellis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellis passes to side control. Pudzianowski is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ellis has just dragged him back down to the mat. Ellis has hold of Pudzianowski's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Pudzianowski seems comfortable defending it but Ellis has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Pudzianowski is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Pudzianowski is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ellis couldn't care less - he's delighted!
