And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 9 losses; Luis Marrero! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Marrero closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Nozadzi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Marrero after a bit of a struggle. Marrero tries for a takedown. No joy.
Marrero has hold of one of Nozadzi's legs. Nozadzi is fighting the takedown attempt but Marrero gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Nozadzi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marrero defends well. Marrero won't allow Nozadzi to sweep him here. Marrero trying to control but Nozadzi is working from the bottom. Marrero controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Marrero tries to free his leg and advance position but Nozadzi is retaining full guard. Nozadzi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marrero gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nozadzi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Marrero's guard. Score +3 for passing guard: Nozadzi (7) vs (4) Marrero Nozadzi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Marrero is looking for a sweep. Marrero keeps trying to improve his position. No, Marrero has escaped the position, nice work there. Marrero is not content to let Nozadzi control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marrero tries to bench press Nozadzi off him but Nozadzi keeps the position. Nozadzi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nozadzi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Nozadzi trying to control the position but Marrero is working away. Marrero tries to bench press Nozadzi off him but Nozadzi keeps the position. Nozadzi controlling from side mount. Nozadzi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
