Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pope Callixtus (ranked 2390 p4p, 2553 weight class) and Bob Joe (ranked 180 p4p, 192 weight class). Bob Joe is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Callixtus closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Joe did well to prevent Callixtus getting side control.
Joe looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Callixtus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Joe is just riding it out for now. Callixtus eventually gives up the hold.
Joe tries to roll over but Callixtus keeps him under control.

Callixtus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Callixtus will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Callixtus keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Joe can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Callixtus is working for a kimura but Joe is defending it quite comfortably.
Callixtus works his way into side control.

Joe throws a few rabbit punches from the bottom. Callixtus was waiting for it though - now Joe's arm is in the perfect position for an arm triangle - he's tightening it up and Joe is forced to tap out before he takes a nap! Very clever counter grappling there from Callixtus!
