Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Louie Lopez (ranked 3003 p4p, 2775 weight class) and Bennett Peck (ranked 322 p4p, 299 weight class). Bennett Peck will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Louie Lopez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bennett Peck! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lopez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Lopez is putting a hurting on Peck here, landing some big shots from side control. Lopez working the head and body with strikes. Lopez works to advance to full mount. Peck defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Peck squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
A nice elbow there by Lopez. Peck's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Lopez scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Peck?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lopez lands a heavy elbow. Lopez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Peck can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lopez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lopez lands a couple of good shots and Peck has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Peck trying to get back to his feet but Lopez is in full control for now. Lopez lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Lopez.
Peck is rocked! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peck is trying to stand back up. Lopez connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Peck to escape the position.
Lopez lands strikes to the head. Peck wants to get back to his feet. Lopez controls the position. Lopez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lopez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Peck for as long as he can get away with. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lopez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Peck is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Peck.

Peck is trying to stand back up. Peck is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Peck is trying to get back to his feet but Lopez has full control of the position and if anything, Peck has just worked his way into a worse spot. Peck looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lopez lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Peck wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peck is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Lopez off. It looks like it's working - Lopez slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Peck displaying calm under pressure there. Lopez looks for a takedown but Peck sprawls well. A little jabbing left from Peck on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Lopez closes the distance and clinches. Peck lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Peck has had enough of the clinch but Lopez keeps him there for the moment. Peck tries to circle away but Lopez has him pinned against the cage. Peck is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Peck fails to land. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Louie Lopez dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Lopez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Peck napping and manages to drive through into side control! Peck wants to get back to his feet but Lopez drags him back down. Lopez looks up at the clock and then as Peck takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lopez smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Lopez landing strikes. Louie Lopez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Peck is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lopez asserts his dominance and retains side control. Peck seems a little lost for a moment, as Lopez dominates the positioning. Lopez continues to stall. Lopez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. More hug and hope from Lopez. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peck is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lopez has just dragged him back down to the mat. Lopez looks up at the clock and then as Peck takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lopez smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lopez lands a nice forearm strike. Lopez landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A lull in the action here. Peck taking a bit of punishment here - Lopez scoring with strikes. Lopez working the ground and pound. Peck gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Lopez controlling the pace for now. Lopez landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lopez looking to control and managing it successfully. Lopez lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Peck is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Lopez loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Peck scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Lopez land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Lopez stands and salutes the crowd.
