Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quintin Ramirez (ranked 5687 p4p, 5776 weight class) and Elliott Acosta (ranked 514 p4p, 518 weight class). Elliott Acosta is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Quintin Ramirez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Elliott Acosta! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez moves out of range of the strikes. Ramirez is looking to counter punch. Ramirez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Acosta pushes Ramirez up against the cage in a clinch. Ramirez pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Ramirez tries to stall but Acosta uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Acosta. Acosta breaks from the clinch.
Acosta lands a nice shot that snaps Ramirez's head back.
Elliott Acosta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Acosta scores with a jab. Ramirez acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Quintin Ramirez has been cut. Acosta is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ramirez. Acosta misses with a left hand and Acosta takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Acosta scores with a jab to the jaw. Ramirez ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Acosta closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ramirez. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Acosta's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Acosta throws a lazy right hand but Ramirez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. It looked like Ramirez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Acosta tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Acosta misses with an uppercut. Ramirez saw that one coming. Acosta slips a jab and a cross from Ramirez.
Ramirez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Ramirez is looking to clinch but Acosta is avoiding it.
Ramirez wants to clinch but Acosta slips to the side and Acosta counters with a stiff right hand. Acosta throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Ramirez to counter with a crisp jab. Acosta takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Ramirez is rocked!
Quintin Ramirez's cut is getting worse. Acosta throws a poor cross that misses
and Ramirez counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab lands there for Acosta. Oh Ramirez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This has been an exciting period of action! Acosta thows a left - swing and a miss! Ramirez seems to have got his legs back now. Acosta throws a looping overhand right but Ramirez ducks down to avoid it. Ramirez fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Acosta has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Ramirez moves out of range as Acosta strikes. Ramirez lands with an uppercut that bounces Acosta off the cage and back into range. Ramirez scores with a hook. Acosta misses with a hook. As Acosta backs away, Ramirez returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. A left lands for Acosta. Ramirez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Acosta clobbers Ramirez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Ramirez tries to close the distance and clinch but Acosta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Acosta manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ramirez looks to clinch and Acosta counters with a huge right that knocks Ramirez out cold! Acosta is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Elliott Acosta!
