Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hatsumi Sen (ranked 3325 p4p, 3099 weight class) and Enorme Renaud (ranked 159 p4p, 150 weight class). Hatsumi Sen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hatsumi Sen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Enorme Renaud! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Renaud throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Hatsumi Sen has been cut. Enorme Renaud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sen gets off balance looking for a body kick and Renaud counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sen tries to move into range but Renaud moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Sen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Renaud dips to his left and cracks Sen with an uppercut! Renaud jabs at Sen's body. Renaud lands a glancing blow to the side of Sen's head. Renaud lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice uppercut there from Renaud. Renaud is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Sen moves into range and clinches up with Renaud. Renaud gets through Sen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Renaud gets through Sen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Renaud's elbow. A short body shot lands from Renaud as the two fighters clinch.
Renaud has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sen is trying to keep an underhook but Renaud manages to get the takedown into half guard. Sen gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Renaud working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Renaud stands up over Sen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Sen has momentary wrist control but Renaud slips an elbow through the middle. Sen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Renaud has his hands clasped together but Sen extends and breaks Renaud's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Sen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Hatsumi Sen!
