Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corona Covid (ranked 4073 p4p, 25476 weight class) and Anton Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Corona Covid has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Corona Covid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Anton Kongo!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Hugh Johnson and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Covid throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Kongo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Covid.
Covid waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kongo.
Kongo is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Kongo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Covid tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kongo is in Covid's guard.
Kongo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Kongo tries to free his leg and advance position but Covid is retaining full guard.

Kongo drops back looking for a leg! Covid is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Covid manages to kick Kongo off! Kongo jumps back into Covid's guard.

Kongo stands up and waves to Covid to follow him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Covid misses with a wild body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Covid throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Covid enables Kongo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Covid manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Covid has momentary wrist control but Kongo slips an elbow through the middle.
Kongo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Kongo decides to stand back up. Kongo steps back and let's Covid get back to his feet.
Covid keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Kongo clinches up with Covid and pushes him back against the cage.
Kongo just leaning against Covid, taking a breather.

Kongo pulls Covid into guard.

Kongo looking for a sweep. Not yet Kongo, not yet.
Kongo trying to strike off his back.

Kongo is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Covid frees his head nicely. Oh but Kongo has switched to an armbar! Covid is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
