Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Beluga Maluga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zechariah Rowland! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rowland throws a sloppy body shot
and Maluga counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Rowland throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rowland scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Maluga doesn't seem bothered though. Maluga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rowland moves away. Maluga lands a nice shot that snaps Rowland's head back.
Maluga throws a right hand that misses
and Rowland makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Maluga throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rowland looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rowland throws a shot from downtown. Maluga moves away and avoids it. Maluga definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Rowland misses with a hook
and Maluga counters with a nice uppercut. Maluga throws a jab when Rowland was well out of range.

and Maluga counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Rowland tries to clinch up but Maluga circles away and keeps his distance. Maluga thows a left - swing and a miss! Rowland misses with a wild body shot. Maluga tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rowland manages to circle out of the way. Maluga swings for the body but Rowland moves out of range.

and Rowland makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rowland cracks Maluga with a right hand to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rowland ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Maluga misses with an uppercut
and Rowland counters with a nice body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Rowland. Maluga does a little dance to reset his feet. Zechariah Rowland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rowland tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maluga swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rowland is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Maluga rather than just go for the knockout. Rowland fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Maluga, pushing him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A head punch on the inside from Maluga fails to land. Rowland is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Maluga to keep the fight standing. Maluga tries to work over Rowland's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Rowland with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

It looks like Beluga Maluga has been cut. Maluga throws a head punch that misses. Rowland misses with a hook from the clinch. Maluga lands a hook that snaps the head of Rowland backwards. A battle for position here, against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowland tries to land a knee to the head but Maluga blocks with his arms.

Rowland throws a head punch that misses. Rowland misses with a hook from the clinch. Still in the clinch, Maluga scores with a nice short uppercut. Maluga lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rowland backwards. Rowland scores with an uppercut up the middle. Rowland prevents a body shot from Maluga. Rowland tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Maluga lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rowland or not. Rowland looks winded! Rowland fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Maluga throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rowlands head. Rowland has a couple of punches blocked by Maluga.

Maluga working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee is keeping an eye on Maluga - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Maluga throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice left hand lands by Maluga.
Maluga is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Maluga wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Maluga escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rowland digs a good hook to Maluga's body.
Maluga is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Maluga jabs Rowland to the body, keeping him at a distance. Rowland takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Maluga closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Maluga lands a hook to the side of the head. Maluga lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rowland backwards. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Beluga Maluga will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Beluga Maluga's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Maluga lands a big right hand that sends Rowland crashing to the mat! Maluga stays standing though and waves Rowland back to his feet!
Rowland is rocked! Rowland misses with a lunging right hand
and Maluga rattles Rowland with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Rowland tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Maluga dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Rowland stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Beluga Maluga!
