Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keith Bronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Pierre !
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Francis DeMontford and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bronson.
Bronson swinging wildly here.
Pierre looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Bronson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Jacques Pierre has been cut.
Bronson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pierre swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Pierre takes one to the chin there.
Bronson swings away with a body shot that misses
and Pierre connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bronson lands with an overhand left.
Bronson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Bronson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pierre counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bronson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pierre manages to avoid it.
Bronson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at New York Training Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Bronson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pierre counters with a nice right hand that sends Bronson toppling to the canvas! Bronson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Pierre finish him?!
Bronson is rocked!
It looks like Keith Bronson has been cut.
Bronson throws a body shot but no joy.
Bronson digs a good hook to Pierre 's body.
Bronson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
No joy there for Bronson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bronson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pierre circles away quickly and effectively.
Pierre throws out a counter right but Bronson avoids it with no problem.
Bronson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pierre in his tracks.
That has opened up Jacques Pierre 's cut even more.
Bronson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Bronson misses with a combination
letting Pierre counter with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bronson misses with an uppercut
and Pierre counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Bronson falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jacques Pierre !
