Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daichi Tanaka (ranked 5126 p4p, 5318 weight class) and Ilia Topuria (ranked 331 p4p, 341 weight class). Ilia Topuria will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ilia Topuria!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Topuria has Tanaka up against the cage in a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Topuria takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Tanaka tries to pull guard but Topuria forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Topuria jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tanaka walks away with a smile on his face. Topuria gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Tanaka swats away the attempt to clinch by Topuria.
Topuria shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tanaka pinned against the cage. Tanaka gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tanaka attempts a counter takedown but Topuria avoids it well and moves away.
Tanaka throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tanaka throws a low kick but Topuria moves out of range easily.
Tanaka misses with an uppercut. Topuria saw that one coming.
Topuria keeps the fight on the outside.
Topuria fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tanaka, pushing him back against the cage.

Tanaka is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Topuria to keep the fight standing.

Tanaka drops down looking for a counter takedown but Topuria sprawls and moves away.

Topuria moves in looking to clinch but Tanaka pushes him off.
