This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 33 wins and 42 losses; Gaston Juncker! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Juncker shoots in looking for a takedown but Kulik manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Juncker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kulik has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Juncker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kulik wants a takedown.
Kulik has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Juncker gets a trip takedown into half guard. And that's the end of the fight! As we have tied on points and both fighters attempted the same number of subs, we will decide the bout based on the toss of a coin! Kulik is heads and Juncker is tails. The coin is in the air and it lands... tails! Juncker wins on points by 8 to 7. Gaston Juncker decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. |
