Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mac has a takedown stuffed. Mac misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mac circles away quickly and effectively. George Mac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jackson closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mac drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Mac. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mac has Jackson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jackson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Mac has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jackson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jackson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Jackson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Mac fails with a takedown attempt. Jackson stuffs the takedown. Mac is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson clinches up with Mac and pushes him back against the cage. Mac manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jackson won't allow Mac to sweep him here. Mac can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jackson controls the pace. Jackson wants to control from the top but Mac keeps moving. Jackson is looking to stand up but Mac won't let him. Mac looking for a guillotine here but Jackson defends easily.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mac swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mac is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mac looking for subs off his back but Jackson has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mac actively working from the bottom here. Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Mac is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jackson wants to stand but Mac has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mac can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson stands up. Mac clinches but Jackson breaks the clinch and Jackson counters with an inside leg kick. Nice sprawl there from Mac as Jackson shoots in.

Jackson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Mac tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mac looking for a guillotine here but Jackson defends easily.

Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mac keeps working. Mac is trying to get back to full guard. Mac wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy and won't allow it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mac takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jackson instigates a clinch. Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mac doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jackson counters with a left and a right that stings Mac. Jackson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mac goes for a takedown attempt but Jackson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mac swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jackson lands with a nice combination. Mac backs away looking to recover. Jackson tries to clinch up but Mac circles away and keeps his distance. Mac gets caught flat footed, as Jackson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Mac keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Jackson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mac isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jackson stacks Mac on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jackson! Mac can't do much from the bottom here. Mac is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jackson asserts his dominance and retains side control. George Mac has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mac wants to control but Jackson postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
