Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dillon Russo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manuel Torres!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Russo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Torres is trying to defend but Russo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Russo is looking for a kimura here.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Russo in particular looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Russo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Torres keeps working.
Still in half guard, Russo seems content to control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Russo has Torres pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Russo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Torres tumbling to the mat - Russo dives into Torres's guard.

Torres has his feet on Russo's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Torres gets tackled into the cage by Russo. Russo maintains the clinch.

Russo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Russo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We've been informed that Torres has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Russo wants to stand and escape but Torres is having none of it.

Russo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Torres misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Torres misses with a body kick.
Torres takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Russo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Russo showed some decent athleticism there.

Russo is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Torres still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Torres has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Russo looks to move to half guard but instead Torres has passed into mount! Damn!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
You can see the frustration on Russo's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Manuel Torres has got the better of the ground game so far.

Russo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Torres fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Russo checks it well.
Russo misses with a head kick.
Torres wants to counter the offense by Russo and move into the clinch position.
Torres tries to clinch but Russo moves out of range.
Russo looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Torres misses with a wild combination.
Russo lands a lovely overhand right.

Russo has managed to clinch.

Russo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Torres tries to improve position but can't.

Russo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Torres is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Russo just content to control the position.
Torres takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Russo is putting a hurting on Torres here, landing some big shots from side control.

Russo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Russo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Torres looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
