Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Bija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grinch Star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grinch Star has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grinch Star!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bija changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Star tries to avoid it but Bija manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Star to the ground. Star escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bija shoots in looking for a takedown. Star tries to sprawl out of it but Bija keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Star manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bija fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan Bija. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A nice leg kick lands there from Star.
Star gets the takedown into side control.

and Star counters with a right hand to the body.

Star shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bija wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Star.

Star really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bija. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Star has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bija uses from the top position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bija looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Star has picked Bija up and slammed him! Bija can't keep hold of the triangle and Star manages to pass to side control!

Grinch Star showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Star seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bija pushes a forearm under Star's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Star is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
