Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hirota Jiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Davis Jr!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis Jr tries to score with a low kick but Jiro moves his leg out of the way.
Jiro on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Davis Jr lands a left and a right that send Jiro crashing to the mat, dazed. Davis Jr thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jiro is rocked!
Jiro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Davis Jr swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oh Jiro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Davis Jr pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It looked like Jiro was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Davis Jr.
Davis Jr misses with a few strikes there.

Jiro closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jiro looks to land a combination but Davis Jr avoids it well.
Davis Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Davis Jr scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Davis Jr lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Davis Jr.

Davis Jr wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jiro has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Davis Jr's face as he tries to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
