Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 23917 p4p, 23875 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 51 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 48 - 41 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Buktot misses with an attempted mid kick.
Buut counters with a body kick.
Buut dives in and grabs Buktot's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buktot pushes down on Buut's head and hops out.
Buktot quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Buut shoots and misses
and Buktot counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Buut shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Buktot manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Buut is fighting to break Buktot's control of his arms but Buktot is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Buktot keeping moving, preventing Buut from controlling successfully.
Buut might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Buktot haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Buut is stalling in the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Buut stuffs the takedown attempt from Buktot. Buktot gets slowly back to his feet.
And Buut responds with a good body kick, but Buktot manages to step out the way in time.
Buktot fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Buut steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Buktot closes the distance and clinches up with Buut, looking for a takedown. Buktot pushes Buut against the cage but Buut circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Buktot connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Buut tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Buktot defends well and Buut ends up having to push Buktot into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Buktot wants to control from the top but Buut keeps moving.
Buut pulls Buktot in to control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dawindi Buktot will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Buut closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buktot circles away.
Buktot shoots in looking for a takedown. Buut tries to sprawl out of it but Buktot keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Buut manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Buut misses with a takedown attempt - Buktot sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And Buktot counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it.

Buut is fighting to break Buktot's control of his arms but Buktot is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Buut stopping the sweep attempt from Buktot.
Buut controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Buut wants to control from the top but Buktot keeps moving.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Buktot has his hands on Buut's head, controlling the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Buut stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Buut wants it to stay on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Buut is defended easily by Buktot.
Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut.
Buut tries for a takedown but Buktot sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Buktot tried to counter with a leg kick but Buut avoided it.

Buktot shoots in but Buut avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Walay Buut will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Buut is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Buktot closes the distance and clinches up with Buut, looking for a takedown. Buktot pushes Buut against the cage but Buut circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Buut misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Buktot was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Buut missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Buktot is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Buut is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Buktot seems keen to control Buut's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Buut sitting in guard here, content to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Walay Buut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Buut has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
