Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tua Hohepa (ranked 3525 p4p, 24805 weight class) and Trent Bash (ranked 385 p4p, 510 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trent Bash!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bash with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hohepa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Bash tries for a takedown but Hohepa circles away easily
and Hohepa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bash walks into a straight right hand from Hohepa.
Bash takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bash looks winded!
Hohepa connects with a body shot that sends Bash's belly button to the back.
Hohepa lands a big uppercut and Bash crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bash looks OK. Hohepa waves Bash back to his feet!
Bash is rocked!
Hohepa definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hohepa connects with a body shot that sends Bash's belly button to the back.
Bash is still on wobbly legs! Can Hohepa finish him?
Hohepa darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Bash's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Hohepa before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tua Hohepa!
