Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Riddle (ranked 4085 p4p, 5802 weight class) and Itchy Go (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Matt Riddle has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Matt Riddle seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Riddle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Itchy Go! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riddle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Go tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Matt Riddle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Riddle.
Go with the counter takedown but Riddle avoids it easily. Riddle fails to land with a series of punches.
A head kick by Riddle misses so Go counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Riddle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Go controls the pace. Riddle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Go on the ground. Go is looking to work some ground and pound but Riddle has wrist control. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Go ducks under a wild hook from Riddle. Riddle thuds a left hand into Go's body. Riddle just misses with a punch to the body.
Riddle thows a leg kick but Go checks it so Go counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Go postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Go controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Go postures up and lands a big shot to Riddle's brow. Go in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Go sitting in guard, not really doing much. Go trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Go gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Riddle swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Riddle tries to clinch up and Go counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Riddle wants to stand back up but Go manages to pass into side control.
Go tries to score with some ground and pound. Riddle controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Go staying calm. Riddle parries the strikes from Go easily there. Go is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Riddle to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Go slows the pace down. Go creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Go throws a strike aimed at the side of Riddle's head but Riddle avoids it well. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Riddle avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Go. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Go throwing strikes but missing, from side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Itchy Go dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. A head kick by Riddle misses and Go counters with a nice double leg into side control. Riddle won't be happy with that. Go is putting a hurting on Riddle here, landing some big shots from side control. Riddle is positioning himself to get back to half guard. An elbow from Go crashes against the mat.
Riddle being controlled for a moment. Go misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Go postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Go lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Riddle down.

Go controlling from side mount. Riddle on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Riddle tries to get out of the position. Go lands a nice forearm strike. Go scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Riddle to see if he's OK. Riddle takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riddle tries to bench press Go off him but Go keeps the position. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Go has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Go scores with a couple of short elbows. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Go is continuing to stall. Riddle takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Go scores with a couple of short elbows. Riddle dodges the ground and pound from Go. Go lands a strong strike to the head of Riddle. That's dazed him! Go looking to finish here. Riddle is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Go lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
