Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Guia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Eatenbobby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eatenbobby keeps the fight on the outside.

Eatenbobby fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Guia manages to avoid it.

Some bone on bone action there as Guia checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Guia moves in looking to clinch but Eatenbobby pushes him off.

Eatenbobby tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Guia unloads a knee to the mid-section. Eatenbobby lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Guia throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Eatenbobby blocks it with crossed arms.

Guia gets underhooks to prevent Eatenbobby's takedown attempt.
Carlos Guia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Eatenbobby.
Guia lands a damaging elbow.
Guia manages to break the clinch.

Eatenbobby moves into the clinch.
Eatenbobby tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Guia smiles and moves away.

Guia moves in looking to clinch but Eatenbobby pushes him off.

Guia wants to clinch up but Eatenbobby keeps it at a distance.
A lazy left from Guia finds it's target.
Guia misses with a series of wild punches.
Eatenbobby shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Guia wants to stand up but Eatenbobby is controlling him.

Eatenbobby drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Eatenbobby jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jonathan Eatenbobby showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Some wild striking there from Guia .
Guia shoots in but Eatenbobby avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Eatenbobby tries to clinch but Guia moves out of range.

and Eatenbobby counters with a shoot takedown. Guia fights it but they end up in guard.
Eatenbobby gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Eatenbobby shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Eatenbobby was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guia is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Eatenbobby wants to control the pace but Guia is squirming around nicely.

Eatenbobby swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Guia is now in Eatenbobby's guard. A big mistake from Eatenbobby there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Eatenbobby is looking to sweep but instead, Guia has passed into half guard.
Guia wants to stand up but Eatenbobby has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Carlos Guia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jonathan Eatenbobby is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Eatenbobby manages to escape and get back to his feet!
