Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Detritus Rubble (ranked 2434 p4p, 2203 weight class) and Lucas Clinton (ranked 179 p4p, 165 weight class). Rubble comes to the cage accompanied by Flux Pavilion x Feed Me - Survive (feat. meesh). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Detritus Rubble! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lucas Clinton! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rubble clinches up against the cage. Rubble lands with a right to the head. Clinton tries to pull guard but Rubble won't allow it.
Clinton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rubble smiles and moves away.
Rubble tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rubble closes the distance and clinches. Clinton works on Rubble's body with a couple of short punches. Rubble scores with a shoulder strike. I was talking to Rubble's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Rubble avoids a wild elbow strike from Clinton. Rubble misses with a hook from the clinch. Clinton pulls Rubble into guard.
Rubble is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rubble passes into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Clinton looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rubble trying to mount his opponent but Clinton defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clinton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rubble is working away from the top position though. Clinton felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Rubble controlling the pace. Rubble trying to pass the guard but Clinton defending well. Rubble seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Clinton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Clinton trying to hold on to Rubble's head to control him but Rubble postures up.
Clinton is trying to get back to full guard. Rubble passes into side control, despite Clinton's attempt to control the position.
You can see the frustration on Clinton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Clinton is looking to regain half guard here but Rubble keeps moving and retains side control. Clinton trying to control but Rubble flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Rubble gets his hands free as Clinton looks to control. What can Clinton do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Clinton looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Rubble is looking to control Clinton but Clinton is wriggling around and keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rubble not allowing Clinton to control his hands. Rubble wants to control but Clinton is keeping busy. I would not like to be Clinton right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rubble is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Clinton knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Clinton for a finish. Clinton wants to control his opponent's hands but Rubble gets his hands free. Rubble is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Clinton has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Rubble has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Clinton taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Rubble doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Detritus Rubble! In his post fight interview, Detritus Rubble started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. Lucas Clinton was interviewed post fight and said 'Aww shucks... :('.
