PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kuure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Sberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Juno - Aamukahvit. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from misses the target.
Sberg looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Sberg changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
wants to get back to his feet but Sberg drags him back down.
Sberg looking to control but instead has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sberg's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sberg's back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The cut man is working on Carl Sberg's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sberg avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sberg shoots in looking for a takedown. tries to sprawl out of it but Sberg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sberg fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but avoids it really well and circles away.
lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sberg circles away quickly and effectively.
looks to land a left hand but Sberg moved out of range nicely.
Sberg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kuure has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carl Sberg.
throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sberg on the side of the head.
stuns Sberg with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Sberg is rocked!


That has opened up Carl Sberg's cut even more.
cracks Sberg with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Sberg tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Sberg is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kuure !
