PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adam Bautista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Lung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bautista kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Can't Be Touched. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Lung!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bautista closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bautista lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bautista drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lung looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lung looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lung!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bautista isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lung stacks Bautista on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lung!

Lung feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Lung might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bautista kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

and Lung holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Lung is working for takedown but Bautista is calmly controlling the position for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bautista is trying to drag Lung to the mat but Lung just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Lung escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jeremy Lung.
Well Lung has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
