Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Akutagawa (ranked 841 p4p, 495 weight class) and Tom Tomson (ranked 106 p4p, 65 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ryu Akutagawa has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ryu Akutagawa seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryu Akutagawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Tomson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akutagawa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Akutagawa lands with a slapping head kick.
Akutagawa throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tomson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Akutagawa throwing a counter right hand but Tomson manages to avoid it.
Tomson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tomson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Good exchange - Tomson coming out on top.
Akutagawa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tomson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Akutagawa throws a right and a left that Tomson avoids nicely.
Akutagawa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tomson on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tomson throws a head kick but Akutagawa moves out of range.
Akutagawa lands a really nice looking cross but Tomson seems unphased.
Tomson misses with a straight right.
A little feinted left hand from Akutagawa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Tomson lands a lovely overhand right.
Tomson throws a hook but Akutagawa avoids it easily.
Akutagawa misses with a hook. Tomson ducked under it nicely.
Akutagawa steps in with a hook that catches Tomson right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Akutagawa follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Tomson looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryu Akutagawa!
Ryu Akutagawa decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
