Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Randy Johns (ranked 3744 p4p, 3210 weight class) and Kendrick Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kendrick Douglas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Randy Johns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kendrick Douglas! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Douglas circles away from the clinch attempt and Douglas counters with a stiff right hand. Douglas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Douglas throws a body punch but Johns moves out of range. Johns wants to clinch. It seemed like Douglas was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Johns has closed the distance and engaged Douglas in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Douglas has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Johns uses from the top position. Douglas wants to stand up but Johns is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johns content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Johns has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Johns scoring with punches to the head and body. Johns keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Douglas's head. Johns thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Johns passes easily into side control. Nice work. Douglas is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Douglas wants to get back to his feet but Johns drags him back down. Douglas is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Johns is working Douglas over with some ground and pound from side control. Douglas is trying to get back to his feet. Johns working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Johns in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Douglas is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
