Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nico Lange (ranked 2586 p4p, 2237 weight class) and Burg Gers (ranked 180 p4p, 0 weight class). Burg Gers told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nico Lange!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Burg Gers!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gers fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lange to the ground. Gers is now in Lange's guard.
Lange looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Gers has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lange to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gers is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lange pulls down on the head and he's put Gers to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Nico Lange!
