Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between vitor silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samryn Redflame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). vitor silva had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Redflame is defended easily by silva.
silva misses with a double jab.
Redflame tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Redflame throws a right and a left that silva avoids nicely.
Redflame keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Redflame fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Redflame looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Redflame is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Redflame had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Redflame Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take silva's back instead.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Redflame escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
