Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rene Latope (ranked 3769 p4p, 25152 weight class) and Rafael Darren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Latope comes into the arena with Star Dancer blaring out of the sound system. Darren has chosen Yeah! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Latope throws a series of punches but Darren moves out of range.
As Latope backs off Darren throws a huge counter combo but Latope manages to avoid it all.

Darren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Latope throws a leg kick but Darren moved away.

Darren is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
We've been hearing reports that Latope has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Whack! Darren lands a heavy head kick that drops Latope. The ref tackles Darren to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Latope was done.

Rafael Darren decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
