The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Layer gets caught flat footed, as Gomes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gomes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Layer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gomes pushes down on Layer's leg and manages to get into half guard.
